If you still think Indonesia’s TMMD program is just about pouring concrete and flexing muscles under the sun, well… welcome to Cikuya Village, Banjarharjo District. The TMMD Regular Program 127 led by Kodim 0713/Brebes proves it’s not just about infrastructure. It’s about faith at night, health in the morning, farming in the afternoon, and motivating the next generation in between. Basically, it’s a full package development combo. No half measures.
Spiritual Evenings at Riyadhul Huda Mosque Soldiers and Citizens Recite Together
On Tuesday night (February 24, 2026), the atmosphere at Riyadhul Huda Mosque in Cikuya turned beautifully serene. After performing Tarawih prayers, members of the TMMD Task Force didn’t rush back to rest. Instead, they joined local residents for Quran recitation (tadarus). Soldiers and villagers sat side by side, reciting verses in harmony. Daytime: build roads. Nighttime: build faith. Balanced life, level max.
The recitation was led by Sergeant Cakra Buana, a TMMD personnel member who turns out to be as skilled in Quranic recitation as he is in field duty. “This activity is not merely about filling time during the holy month. It strengthens our faith and strengthens our bond with the community. Here, we don’t just build roads, we build heartfelt connections,” he said.
Residents expressed appreciation seeing soldiers who work hard all day remain devoted in worship at night. It reinforced something important: unity between the military and the people is not just a slogan banner it’s lived reality.
Warm Social Communication After Prayer Community Leaders Show Appreciation
The evening continued with an informal Social Communication (Komsos) session. TMMD personnel gathered with local religious leader Mr. Abdul Hamid (65), Head of Riyadhul Huda Mosque’s management. Sitting in a relaxed circle, they discussed development progress, aspirations, and community expectations. No formal podium. Just honest conversation.
“We are grateful and happy for the presence of the soldiers in our village. They don’t only build roads and infrastructure. They actively pray at the mosque and show great respect to elders,” said Abdul Hamid.
He also praised the soldiers’ dedication in continuing their duties while fasting. According to him, TMMD has revived the spirit of cooperation in Cikuya. And that spirit that synergy is exactly what ensures development programs succeed smoothly.
Maternal Health Education Strengthening the Future Before Birth
TMMD 127 also focused on human development through non-physical programs. On the same day, a special Posyandu session for pregnant mothers was held in Cikuya Village. The theme: “Physical Activity for Pregnant Women.” Because smooth roads are great but healthy generations are even greater.
The main speaker, Siti Maryam, Amd.Kep (43), the village midwife, emphasized that pregnancy is not an excuse to completely stop moving. “Pregnant women still need measured physical activity to support smoother delivery and maintain body fitness, as long as medical limits are observed,” she explained.
Participants were taught breathing techniques and light exercises to reduce back pain and swollen legs. The activity was accompanied by Babinsa Koramil 14/Banjarharjo, Sergeant Sagiman, demonstrating the military’s commitment to supporting maternal and child health programs, including stunting prevention.
Infrastructure and human development walking together. That’s sustainable progress, not just temporary hype.
Corn Farmers Speak Up Seeking Agricultural Guidance
Meanwhile, local farmer Anto (40) shared his concerns with Sergeant Suyatno from Koramil 14/Banjarharjo. His corn harvest this year suffered heavily due to downy mildew disease, locally known as “bule,” which turns leaves pale and halts growth.
“Sir, we need guidance on proper corn cultivation. Almost all our crops were affected,” Anto said, clearly worried.
He also pointed out limited understanding regarding effective fertilizer usage. Through the TMMD momentum, he hopes agricultural experts can provide direct field education so farmers can avoid future crop failures.
Sergeant Suyatno welcomed the input and noted it for coordination with higher command and related agencies. Because development doesn’t stop at building access roads. When roads improve and harvests increase, village prosperity follows naturally. Simple equation. Powerful impact.
Motivation Session at SD Negeri Cikuya 01 Building Character Early
The energy shifted to SD Negeri Cikuya 01, where Corporal Hendra, Babinsa of Koramil 14/Banjarharjo, engaged students through storytelling and interactive dialogue. No rigid lectures. Just meaningful stories about discipline, perseverance, education, and love for the nation.
“Children are the future of this country. We want them to know that the Army is their friend, and school is where they shape their dreams,” he told the students.
Laughter filled the classroom during Q&A sessions. The students were relaxed and enthusiastic. The school principal appreciated the initiative, noting that such interactions inspire students in a memorable way.
More Than Concrete A Comprehensive Village Transformation
The TMMD Regular Program 127 in Cikuya Village demonstrates that real development is multidimensional. It strengthens infrastructure, spirituality, health awareness, agricultural resilience, and youth character all at once.
Because true progress is not measured only in kilometers of road paved, but in bonds strengthened, knowledge shared, and hope renewed.
In Cikuya, Brebes, development is not just being constructed. It is being lived.
