What's Changed in the 2024 Toyota Hilux Double Cabin 4x4
Exterior
Built using the body code IMV3, as previously mentioned the New Hilux Double Cabin 4x4 received a refresh with minor changes to the exterior and interior appearance.
Where on the exterior, especially the fascia, this commercial car now has a trapezoidal style Black Upper Grille with dynamic honeycomb mesh.
The new grill that dominates its face makes the New Hilux Double Cabin 4x4 not only give a sturdy and tough impression, but also looks more aggressive. Moreover, it is combined with a thin, sporty and modern style headlamp.
It doesn't stop there, the solid impression continues to the front bumper area where the unique low floor underguard increases the low impression on the road, along with the black vertical foglamp bezels which help reduce the impression of width.
Interiors
Inside, both types G and V have an additional defogger on the rear window which functions to improve the driver's view when they want to see other vehicles through the central rear view mirror during the rainy season.
It doesn't stop there, type G gets Premium Audio, while the variant above, V, already uses AVX 7 inch which has a mirroring feature.
Not to forget that the V type also gets additional clearance sensors at the front and rear for driving safety which makes it easier for the driver to carry out parking maneuvers.
Suspension made more comfortable but tough on off-road terrain
The Hilux Double Cabin 4x4 shock absorber system has been retuned since improvements were made four years ago. Improvements to the suspension system were made to create a balance between comfort and steering response.
This also guarantees the Hilux Double Cabin 4x4's ability to be strong on off-road terrain, and absorbs shocks that arise better. The leaf spring arrangement has been reworked so that it feels comfortable on bumpy roads and prevents the car from swaying easily when cornering or changing lanes.
Rely on a 2,400 Cc Turbocharged Diesel Engine with High Performance
Like the previous model, the New Hilux Double Cabin 4x4 2.4L variant is equipped with a 2GD-FTV Euro4 4-cylinder in-line diesel engine, 16 valve, DOHC, with VNT Intercooler with a capacity of 2,393 cc.
The power produced is 147 PS at 3,400 rpm and maximum torque reaches 400 Nm at 1,600 - 2,000 rpm. For the top variant, type V is mated to a 6-speed super ECT automatic transmission, while types E and G are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
