For the sake of the All New Alphard, Toyota Vellfire is no longer sold in Indonesia
The Toyota Vellfire is one of the many premium car models that is popular with rich people, from celebrities to businessmen and officials.
Understandably, this Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) style car with an elegant, dashing and luxurious appearance is equipped with various advanced features and technology, which are able to pamper the driver, including the passengers.
It's just that those of you who want to look for a boxy Toyota Vellfire MPV currently can't get a new unit.
Because, PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) secretly no longer sells it, even removing the name Toyota Vellfire on the official Toyota Astra website.
So, what is the reason why Toyota Indonesia no longer sells the Toyota Vellfire?
"Yes, indeed (deleting the Toyota Vellfire on the official website) currently we are still focusing on the All New Alphard. We are currently studying the Vellfire," said Anton Wednesday (20/12/2023).
As is known, if you look at the sales data of the Association of Motor Vehicle Industries (Gaikindo) for 2023, the Toyota Vellfire is indeed less brilliant than the Alphard.
Even though both were imported in complete form, aka Completely Built Up (CBU), Toyota Vellfire sales were only 244 units, of which one unit was a hybrid type.
Apart from that, if you look at the sales data for the Vellfire car, it was last active in July 2023 with sales of 15 units, while in August, October and December there were zero, while in September there were only two units.
This is different with the Toyota Alphard (Specifications | News), where during January-November 2023 sales reached 3,398 units and 235 of them were hybrid types.
Toyota Vellfire Not Present at GIIAS 2023
The signal that the Toyota Vellfire will disappear from circulation seems to be seen from unsupportive sales, and its figure was not introduced at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in August 2023.
The reason is that PT TAM only offers the fourth generation Toyota Alphard, minus the Vellfire. In fact, in Japan the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire were simultaneously launched and sold.
In Indonesia, the latest Toyota Alphard offers a Hybrid Electric Vehicle technology engine that uses the TNGA (GA-K) platform, and eliminates the 3.5 liter V6 engine.
But if you are looking for a used Toyota Vellfire, of course you can still get it, with prices varying depending on condition.
