So, which are the ten cheapest private jets to buy new?

The prices below are standard prices for each new aircraft from the factory. With options, the price will likely increase. Also note that this does not include list prices for discontinued or used aircraft.

1. Cirrus Vision Jet – $2.85 million

The cheapest private jet you can buy new is the Cirrus Vision Jet SF50 with new list prices starting at just $2.85 million.

The Cirrus Vision Jet SF50 is a Very Light Jet (VLJ) powered by only one engine. Designed and manufactured by Cirrus Aircraft based in Duluth, Minnesota, USA, production began in the second half of 2016 and Cirrus has produced more than 170 aircraft. Cirrus is usually known for the small turboprop aircraft it produces, such as the SR20 and SR22, these are the only jet-powered aircraft the company produces.

The Vision Jet stands out for its compact size and was the first certified single-engine civilian jet. The Vision Jet received rave reviews when it was announced and before production began, Cirrus had received more than 600 orders for the aircraft.

Given the immense popularity of the Cirrus Vision Jet, used examples can sell for above list price with prices ranging between $2 million and $3.5 million.

2. Embraer Phenom 100EV – $4.5 million

Just missing out on first place is the Embraer Phenom 100EV with a new list price of $4.5 million. This aircraft has excellent value with an annual depreciation rate of approximately 1%. Therefore, a used example will cost at least $4 million.

The Embraer Phenom 100EV is the latest iteration of the highly successful Embraer Phenom 100. The Phenom 100/100EV is a very light jet (VLJ) developed by Embraer, a Brazilian aircraft manufacturer. The Phenom 100 entered development in April 2005 and showed off a full-scale mock-up in November of the same year.

The first flight for the Phenom 100 came in July 2007, it was certified in December 2008 and the first delivery occurred later that same month. The Phenom 100 was soon updated to the Embraer Phenom 100E, featuring minor updates and a multifunction spoiler. The Phenom 100EV entered service in March 2017 with substantial weight savings, increased thrust and an updated flight deck.

Operated by private owners, companies with fractional ownership programs, charter operators, aircraft management companies, and military operators, the Phenom Variant 100EV is very popular for short-haul flights. With nearly 400 examples in active service, the Phenom Model 100 is a great choice for those looking for increased speed over comparable sized turboprop aircraft.
