Geely Galaxy L7 Phantom Edition has just been launched in China, as the name suggests, this is the latest edition of the Galaxy L7 which was already on sale.
One of the things offered on the L7 Phantom Edition is the many additional features including the latest ADAS system called NOA, as well as the ability to run a longer battery life.
Dimensions Similar to the Toyota Fortuner
The Geely Galaxy L7 is actually a hybrid car with the SUV genre which has a body length of 4,700 mm, width of 1,905 mm, height of 1,685 mm, and wheelbase of 2,785 mm. When compared, this size is similar to the Fortuner 2.8 GR Sport in Indonesia.
In appearance, it still uses the Galaxy Light design language from Geely as also applied to the L7. The front fascia still uses a closed grill style like most electric vehicles, combined with pointed design lights.
Meanwhile, from the rear, it uses a roof spoiler and combination lights that extend from the top of the rear wheel fender.
Interior Buttons Replaced with LCD Panel
In terms of dashboard layout and seat models and door trim, there is no difference between the Phantom Edition and the regular L7.
Only in this edition, there is now a 10.25 inch instrument panel on the driver's side, a 13.2 inch monitor that stands vertically, and a 16.2 inch screen on the front passenger side, all of which function to control the various features in the car.
Then the monitor in the middle and the co-pilot side also uses the Galaxy N OS operating system which is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset, then this model also adds a 25.6 inch AR head-up display.
Geely Galaxy L7 Phantom Edition Has More Advanced ADAS Features
Another important thing about this special edition of the L7 is the Navigation On Highway Assist (NOA) feature which will help the driver when driving on the toll road at high speeds.
This technology allows the vehicle to overtake the car in front of it autonomously, including when the driver uses Cruise Control mode.
This system uses four long-range wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, one 8 megapixel front camera, and one additional camera on the front with a resolution of 2.5 megapixels.
Use Turbo Engines and Electric Motors
For its power source, the L7 Phantom Edition uses the latest generation NordThor Hybrid 8848 system from Geely which combines a 1.5-liter Turbo 4-cylinder engine and electric motor and a 3-speed DHT transmission.
These components are capable of producing 287 kW (390 PS0) of power with 535 Nm of torque and a claimed acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds.
This car is divided into two variants, namely those that can travel only using the electric motor for a distance of up to 55 km or 115 km. Meanwhile, fuel consumption can reach 42.5 km/liter and 76.9 km/liter.
The price is only equivalent to the Toyota Yaris Cross in Indonesia
The Geely Galaxy L7 Phantom Edition in China is marketed starting from 185,700 yuan, or approximately the equivalent of IDR 391 million.
If you compare car prices in Indonesia, the Rp. 390 million range can only get a Toyota Yaris Cross, Chery Omoda 5, or Honda HR-V type E.
