Regarding the Gulfstream G550, a business jet manufactured by General Dynamics' Gulfstream Aerospace unit in Savannah, Georgia, USA, its certification is GV-SP. A version with a lower fuel capacity was marketed as the G500. Gulfstream stopped production of the G550 in July 2021.
The Gulfstream G550 is a highly versatile and stylish long-range business jet. Powered by two Rolls-Royce BR710 engines mounted in the rear of the fuselage, each BR710 produces 15,385 lb of thrust (30,770 lb total), meaning the G550 can takes off in just 5,910 feet and can land in just 2,770 feet 2. With a Max Take-Off Weight (MTOW) of 91,000 lbs, the G550 has a range of 6,750 nautical miles, allowing it to fly from Europe to the Americas, Africa and most of Asia without any problems.
The G550 is efficient in its use of space with a total cabin length of 15.27 meters (50 feet 1 inch), width of 2.13 meters (7 feet) and cabin height of 1.83 meters (6 feet), with a total cabin volume of 47.26 cubic meters (1,669 cubic feet). With all this space, the G550 is capable of carrying up to 19 passengers (depending on configuration) and sleeping up to eight passengers.
The Gulfstream G550 has advanced features such as wireless networking, satellite communications, Iridium telephone, and fax/printer as standard equipment. The innovative Head-Up Display (HUD) projects flight data onto a transparent screen in the pilot's forward field of view. When vision is reduced or obscured, the Enhanced Vision System (EVS) utilizes infrared imaging technology to show what the human eye cannot see.
