The automotive brand Neta is officially present in Indonesia through the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023.
Through PT Neta Auto Indonesia, during this exhibition three of Neta's best product lines were displayed, namely the Neta S which is a sport car, then the Neta U which is in the form of an SUV, and also the Neta V which is a crossover type.
However, of the three products, only Neta V can be ordered at a price of IDR 379 million, while Neta U and Neta V were mentioned by Wang Chengjie, President Director of PT Neta Auto Indonesia.
Not Just Selling Electric Cars in Indonesia
Wang considers that the Indonesian automotive market has high potential as an automotive center in ASEAN, including the positive development of pure electric vehicles.
Moreover, the electric vehicle industry in Indonesia is also supported by the implementation of government policies and measures in the form of incentives that can help develop infrastructure and penetrate electric vehicles in the country's automotive market.
Therefore this Chinese brand company will also assemble its electric vehicles in Indonesia starting Q2 2024 by collaborating with PT Handal Indonesia Motor which has an assembly plant in Bekasi, West Java.
"We are very confident in investing to meet the needs of the Indonesian people and support the Government to make the automotive industry more environmentally friendly. We hope to be well received and to be able to synergize with a good vision and mission in Indonesia," said Wang.
He mentioned this step as a form of the company's seriousness to grow and develop with the Indonesian people.

Actually, this automotive brand is not a new player in their home country, because they introduced themselves for the first time in June 2018 and released their first electric car in November of the same year.
At the end of 2019 Neta has managed to record production figures of up to 10,000 units, and now there are at least five models with sales of up to 150,000 units in 2022.
These sales figures have made Neta the No.1 automotive start-up and the No.9 among electric vehicle players in China.
The company also started its global expansion in 2022, and continues to develop into the most promising electric vehicle brand in China with a YoY growth of 362% with total sales to date of more than 320,000 units.
