MG's first electric car is a soft top roadster, the MG Cyberster 2023 was introduced last April. British Chinese manufacturer, MG, presents the Cyberster 2023, not only with an aggressive and attractive design, but also with high performance.
It was recently revealed that the electric car is even faster and more powerful than many of the world's leading supercars.
Wang Jian, director of electric propulsion development at SAIC Motor, said the Cyberster is a sporty-looking electric car capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in less than three seconds.
"I did a test drive on the test track and felt it was extraordinary, very fast. Acceleration from rest 0 to 100 km/h can be done in just 2.6 seconds," said Wang.
MG Cyberster 2023 Comes with RWD and 4WD Drive
Wang mentioned, Cyberster will be marketed in two sub-models, starting with single and double electric motors. Where the single electric motor is placed behind by relying on the RWD drive.
"On the Cyberster we installed a single speed gearbox and an oil cooling system to maintain heat levels and keep performance consistent," he says. In the single electric motor version, it is stated that this car has a power of 231 kW or 314 PS.
Speaking of the top variant, which has dual electric motors, each dynamo produces 150 kW (204 PS) for the front wheels and 200 kW (272 PS) at the rear.
Regarding battery capacity, Cyberster uses sizes of 64 kWh and 77 kWh, each of which can cover a distance of 500 km and 580 km on a single charge.
As information, the dimensions of this car are 4,535 mm long, 1,913 mm wide, 1,329 mm high, and the wheelbase reaches 2,690 mm. For vehicle weights ranging from 1,850–1,985 kg, or 700 kg heavier than the Mazda MX-5.

The cabin nuance features a classic red color where there are 3 sets of screens each displaying various information about the vehicle.
