As a player in the LMPV class, the Hyundai Stargazer certainly has to deal with big names. Starting from the duet of the Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia, to the Suzuki Ertiga and Mitsubishi Xpander which cannot be underestimated either.
As one of the backbones of Hyundai's sales in Indonesia, Stargazer certainly needs to be given various improvements to compete in the fairly tight LMPV segment. Seeing this situation, Hyundai will make a number of refreshments or improvements to this year's Stargazer.
2023 Hyundai Stargazer Gets Updated
Hyundai is rumored to be doing a number of improvements for the Stargazer. However, it is not present in the form of a facelift across all of its variant lines, but only for the Active type Stagazer. And this new model will be released in the near future.
Then what are the improvements made by Hyundai on the lowest type of Stargazer? Apparently, not physically but more in the form of adding several features that had been absent since their appearance in 2022.
No Longer Using Can Wheels
From the amount of information collected, we can conclude that there are at least two new features that will be present on the 2023 Active Stargazer type. The first is the presence of a double blower air conditioner which previously only came with an air circulator type air conditioner even though a double blower mount has been installed.
The second change is in the legs of the car. Namely by pinning 16-inch alloy wheels like the Trend type Stargazer. Compared to the Active type Stargazer currently being sold, it still uses 15-inch steel wheels without caps.
The additional features are believed by the Hyundai team to make Stargazer more competitive against competitors of the same type. Interestingly, the latest leak states that the price for the 2023 Hyundai Stargazer, both the Active type and the other variants, is still the same even though there are additional features.
For the record, reported on the official website of Hyundai Indonesia, the Active type Stargazer is marketed at IDR 247.2 million for manual transmission and IDR 260 million for IVT automatic transmission or Intelligent Variable Transmission.
