So there is potential for the Toyota Crown Sport to become Toyota's new weapon to target the executive market from young people.
So what are the facts revealed in the latest Toyota Crown teaser? First is the interior which gives the impression of a sports car.
Unlike the Crown Sedan which looks grand and luxurious, the Crown Sport looks more masculine with the use of red and dark chrome materials.
The Crown Sport also has a perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching and accents and sport bucket front seats.
Regarding features, the potential for Crown Sport is to bring many complete features that are already in the Crown Crossover.
But one feature that may be unique to the Crown Sport is the digital instrument display which is inspired by the Lexus.
What about engines and drives? Toyota said the Crown Sport will come with two hybrid options, namely a regular hybrid and a plug-in hybrid.
For regular hybrids, the Toyota Crown Sport is allegedly using a hybrid system similar to the Crown Crossover.
The hybrid system uses a four-cylinder turbo engine with a capacity of 2,393 cc which is capable of producing a combined power of up to 350 hp.
As for the plug-in hybrid, we suspect the Crown Sport will use a system similar to the RAV4 PHEV or get a turbo hybrid system but with a larger, rechargeable battery.
