At the beginning of this year, Chery successfully released their latest model, namely the Omoda 5. The crossover managed to record 1,000 orders from the public. As promised, PT Chery Sales Indonesia will begin delivering units in April 2023.
In the initial stage, PT CSI handed over 100 units of OMODA 5 to the first 100 consumers who are domiciled in the Greater Jakarta area, at the "OMODA 5 Handover Ceremony" held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. This hand over is an initial order, from consumers who have made orders during the pre-booking period at IIMS 2023 last February.
"Today we handed over 100 units of OMODA 5 out of a total of 300 units scheduled for April. We will hand over the remaining 200 units in April as well. Thank you for choosing OMODA 5 as your vehicle," said Shawn Xu, President of PT Chery Sales Indonesia.
Shawn added that the delivery of 100 units of OMODA 5 is a form of CSI's commitment in providing the best service to consumers. The handover of 100 units of OMODA 5 which was held in a special way is Chery's way of giving appreciation to consumers.
"For CSI, the timeliness of unit delivery, which is closely related to the maintenance of production duration, is a work standard that we really maintain," said Shawn.
At this event, the CSI team also gave a brief explanation about the usage guidelines for feature functions, especially the safety features in OMODA 5. This was done as a standard operating procedure after the unit handover process was carried out.
We have increased production, and during April we will meet demand for consumers who will wear it on Eid. We also try to continue to produce above production capacity for customers. This is because at the time of the initial order there were 1000 SPK, and gradually we were able to fulfill it until May," said Rendi Radito, Sales Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia.
Production of the New Chery Omoda 5 Type Z Starts Next Month
For this initial stage of production, PT CSI is assembling the Chery Omoda 5 type RZ as the highest type. After that, Chery will then assemble the Omoda type Z in May.
"Omoda estimates we are 60% of Chery's total sales with a target of 1,000 units a month. We will only produce the Z type in May, because now the demand for the RZ type is the highest. We are also only now able to produce RZ because the parts for the Z type have not all arrived," explained Zheng Shuo, Dealer Network Development Director of PT Chery Sales Indonesia on the same occasion.
