After its release in Indonesia, Thailand became one of the first destinations for the new Honda WR-V car.
Launched in the Land of the White Elephant on March 13, the Honda WR-V is here to fill a smaller segment than the HR-V.
Honda Thailand costs the new Honda WR-V car starting at 799,000 baht or the equivalent of Rp. 356.7 million (exchange rate of 1 baht = Rp. 446.5).
"The SUV market is a market that is considered to have the potential to continue to grow," said Noriyuki Takakura, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Honda Automobile Thailand.
"For a long time, this time, Honda is ready to provide a carefree urban driving experience with the new WR-V," added Takakura.
The Thai and Indonesian WR-V designs are exactly the same plus it has the same normally aspirated 1,498 cc four-cylinder engine.
This means that Thai WR-V consumers are presented with 119 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque which is channeled to the front wheels via a CVT transmission.
One difference lies in the engine tuning because the Thai-spec WR-V can drink fuel with 20% ethanol or E20 content.
In terms of variants, the Thai-spec WR-V has two trim variants, namely SV and RS. The WR-V SV is the cheapest variant whose features and appearance are similar to the WR-V type E in Indonesia.
But in terms of features, the WR-V SV is standard with integrative features of Honda Sensing, Auto AC, and instruments with colored MIDs.
Then for the RS variant of the WR-V, it already has the Honda CONNECT telematics feature.
