Toyota added a new, sportier model to the RAV4 lineup with the GR Sport version. Following the successful launch of the GR Sport product in various other models such as the Yaris, Yaris Cross, Corolla, C-HR and Hilux, the RAV4 gets a new styling package and handling adjustments for customers who prefer a vehicle with a sportier design.
This new grade is available for HEV and PHEV versions with intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD-i) and takes its styling inspiration from the success of world champion TOYOTA GAZOO Racing.

The RAV4 GR Sport makes a bold style statement with the addition of piano black wheel arch trim, side body molding and tailgate trim. Up front there is a more prominent fog lamp bezel with the same black G-mesh pattern as the new front grille and spoiler.
The material is finished in dark silver on hybrid models with a different design to match the powertrain, and gunmetal gray on the PHEV power jack. Hidden GR badges on the front grille and rear doors signify a sportier appearance.
The new RAV4 GR Sport is the first model to feature rims finished using a new high-precision line cutting technique.
As standard, the 19-inch rims have a glossy black finish with fine bright machined line details that add emphasis to the robust five-spoke design.

The sporty yet sophisticated look is carried over to the interior where the sport front seats are finished with sleek suede effect upholstery with synthetic leather backrest, free of animal products.
The headrests are embossed in black with the GR logo, while the contrast is evident in the silver stitching on the seats, steering wheel, gear lever and gunmetal trim details on the doors and steering wheel.
The GR logo is also featured on the floor mats and steering wheel. The new model comes with a new multimedia system with a 10.5-inch high definition display and a 12.3-inch adjustable combimeter as key elements of the RAV4 upgrade for the 2023 model year.
Likewise the Toyota T-Mate's safety and driver assistance features include the additional functionality of the latest generation Toyota Safety Sense. The package includes the Emergency Steering Assist system feature and the Pre-Collision System upgrade.
Additionally, all GR Sport models come with power adjustments for the front seats, along with memory settings for the driver's seat, as well as a panoramic monitor as standard.
Performance RAV4 GR Sport
The sportier look is complemented by further upgrades to the suspension on the RAV4 GR Sport. New, stiffer springs and shock absorber settings are expected to provide improved handling and offer a more engaging driving experience.
