Daihatsu Sigra made the largest contribution to Daihatsu sales for the October 2022 period. Especially in terms of monthly retail sales which were recorded by PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM).
In the January-October 2022 period, the national automotive market recorded retail sales of around 822 thousand units, an increase of around 21% compared to the same period last year of around 677 thousand units. Meanwhile in the same period, Daihatsu recorded retail sales of 157,327 units, an increase of around 33% compared to last year's 118,089 units.
In percentage terms, Daihatsu's national retail sales achievement over the last 10 months has been greater than the national automotive market. In addition, Daihatsu's market share also increased to 19.1%, an increase of 1.7% compared to YTD October 2021 of 17.4%.
In terms of volume and model contribution, Daihatsu retail sales nationwide until October 2022 are still dominated by the top 3 models, such as Sigra with 38,628 units, or contributing around 24.6%; followed by Gran Max PU (Pick Up) with 37,713 units (24%); and Xenia with 20,660 units (13.1%).
Daihatsu Sales in Central Java Also Rise
Meanwhile, the automotive market for the Central Java area in the period up to September 2022 is in the range of 54 thousand units. On a monthly average, the automotive market in the Central Java area is around 6 thousand more units, or up 4% compared to the same period in 2021 around 5,700 units.
Meanwhile, Daihatsu sales in Central Java until September 2022 reached 11,171 units. From this achievement, on average monthly sales of Daihatsu in the Central Java area are around more than 1,200 units, up 22% compared to the average monthly sales for the same period in 2021, which was around 1,000 units with a market share of 20.6%. for the Central Java area.
Not the Best Selling Daihatsu Sigra in Central Java
On a monthly average, the volume and contribution of Daihatsu's sales models until September 2022 in Central Java were dominated by the top 3 models, such as GranMax PU (Pick Up) with 318 units (25.6%); followed by Sigra with 249 units (20.1%); and Xenia 173 units (13.9%).
