Honda Civic e: HEV and Honda Civic Type R won a prestigious award, namely Performance Car of the Year from the 2022-2023 Japan Car of the Year. The award won by the two models of the Honda Civic series is the first time won by a Japanese car manufacturer.
The Honda Civic e: HEV and the Honda Civic Type R are considered sport sedans with a special design, an aerodynamic body and smooth engine rotation that results in excellent driving performance.
Civic e: HEV launched in Japan in July 2022 is the first Honda Civic model to be developed in the e: HEV version where this car combines power from the 2.0L inline injection engine and power from the battery.
The Civic e:HEV is an advanced hybrid model that retains the basic performance of the excellent Civic where it provides a pleasant driving experience and is more environmentally friendly.
Meanwhile, the Honda Civic Type R was launched in Japan in September 2022 where this Honda racing car was developed with the aim of achieving the highest sports performance that combines speed and driving pleasure.
To support its performance, Honda has perfected the VTEC Turbo engine to achieve increased output and torque, as well as a pleasant driving feel.

The Japan Car of the Year award event is an annual event organized by the Japan Car of the Year Executive Committee as a form of appreciation for the four-wheeled automotive industry in Japan.
