DFSK Mini EV Ready to Challenge Wuling Air ev This Year

DFSK Mini EV seems impatient to enter the micro-size electric vehicle market in Indonesia. PT Sokonindo Automobile also plans to market this car in the near future.

This step is part of DFSK's preparations to support the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country. "DFSK is committed to supporting the development and growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia through various technologies that have been developed and tested in other parts of the world," said Alexander Barus, CEO of PT Sokonindo Automobile in Jakarta, Wednesday (14/12/2022).

DFSK Mini EV Launched This Year

According to Alexander, DFSK is ready to continue this commitment in 2023 by presenting electric vehicles including Gelora E and Mini EV. "As we know, DFSK Mini EV has been officially introduced to DFSK at several ongoing exhibitions. In 2023, DFSK is ready to bring this car to enter and enliven the Indonesian market," continued Alexander.

Meanwhile Rifin Tanuwijaya, Sales and Marketing Director of PT Sokonindo Automobile explained, the Mini EV will be introduced in early 2023. "The fastest Mini EV is at IIMS 2023, the latest at PEVS (PERIKLINDO Electric Vehicle Show) 2023," he said.

Rifin also explained that the Mini EV for Indonesia will come in two variants which are distinguished by the battery mileage. "There are types of 220 km, there are 150 km. Prices are around Rp. 200 million to Rp. 220 million," said Rifin.

Build a Factory and Prepare Electric Car Technicians

DFSK's electrification strategy in 2023 also does not stop at preparing new products. Because the manufacturer will start localizing electric vehicles through the DFSK factory located in Cikande, Serang, Banten. The first model that has been prepared to be born from the hands of this nation's children is the DFSK Gelora E.

The presence of the locally produced Gelora E is expected to be able to present electric commercial vehicles that are more affordable without compromising the high quality that has been implemented since the beginning of doing business in the country.

"DFSK has also prepared supporting aspects, starting from mechanics who are trained and certified to handle electric vehicles to the availability of original spare parts to ensure daily operations run smoothly," concluded Alexander.
