TAM presents the New Hilux GR Sport, as part of the 8th global generation, with several new elements that reinforce the sporty character of GAZOO Racing's DNA.
The improvements made to this sporty D-Cab further demonstrate Toyota's commitment in developing the Toyota GR lineup.
Performance improvements are carried out exclusively to provide excitement and a sense of pride to customers and GR enthusiasts in Indonesia.
Sporty and dashing exterior design
The first point of interest comes from the exterior area. Hilux's original appearance, which is known to be manly and tough, has been upgraded by embedding some of the typical GR Sport ornaments.
The sturdy trapezoidal grille that dominates the face, looks classic with a touch of the TOYOTA name like that of the All New Land Cruiser GR Sport and looks sporty with the GR Sport emblem.
The GR Side Plate underneath looks modern thanks to the combination of body color and black gloss, reinforced by the front bumper extension and sporty fog bezel.
Moving to the side, the GR Sport Alloy Wheel with a diameter of 18 inches dominates and enhances the sporty aura, emphasized by the thick over fenders above the front and rear wheels.
In the tailgate area, a glossy black GR Sport Bar is installed with a Shark Fin Antenna above it. Behind, there is a GR Tape Stripe, GR Badge, and Rear Bumper Side Bar whitewashed in glossy black.
Advance Sporty Interior
Carrying the theme Advance Sporty Interior, off-road-sportscar enthusiasts are immediately presented with the GR Sport Type Seat with a slick touch in the form of a combination of suede, genuine and synthetic leather.
The GR logo embroidered on the head rest looks exclusive with a red accent on the top of the seat back and different colored stitches on the seat cover.
The sturdy steering wheel consists of 2 parts made of smooth, grained leather, accented with GR Red Leather Center Mark Addition.
The unique Z-patterned Kagari stitching pattern sits alongside the new bezel, GR Emblem and paddle shift.
Improved Engine Performance and Ride and Handling Quality

Driving performance is enhanced by the use of a 1GD-FTV 2,800 cc 4-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 204 PS of power at 3,000-4,000 rpm and 51 Kgm of torque at 1,600-2,800 rpm with EURO-4 emission standards.
For comparison, the Hilux V Type uses a 2GD-FTV 2,400 cc 4-cylinder diesel engine with a power of 149 PS at 3,400 rpm and 40.8 Kgm of torque at 1,600-2,000 rpm.
Power distribution is channeled to all wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shifts and paddle shifts, the first for a Double Cabin product in Indonesia.
The suspension is also made more rigid through the use of a MONO-Tube Type Shock Absorber to present a steering feeling with a race car feel with a balance between comfort and adequate steering response.
