Suzuki Grand Vitara 2023 Launched Globally, Claimed to be the Most Economical SUV


Maruti Suzuki India officially introduced the Grand Vitara 2023 in India, Tuesday (20/7). Will be exported to several countries, the Medium SUV with the 'S' logo is built using Suzuki's Global C platform which is also used by its twin brother, the Toyota Hyryder.

Just like the Hyryder, quoted from Autocarindia.com, the latest Grand Vitara is also produced at a factory located in Karnataka, India. For information, the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2023, which was recently introduced globally, is the first domestically made SUV. Previously, Maruti Suzuki sold this car by import.

In appearance, the latest Grand Vitara looks so aggressive and attractive. On its face, this car gets many firm and sharp lines combined with a large grille with additional chrome and piano black accents similar to the new Ertiga.

In the lighting system, this car gets LED lights with a flat split squarish shape which seems to be divided into several blades. Looking at the side, the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2023 looks the same as the Toyota Hyryder, which was first launched in early July this year. It's just that Suzuki pinned more styling design elements, different alloy wheels and a black whitewashed roof.

Looking at the stern, the Grand Vitara gets taillights with three LED lighting elements placed horizontally on both sides, and a chrome garnish that is connected to the stop lamp.

In India, the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2023 has been named the first SUV to carry hybrid technology. Looking at its racing heart, this car is equipped with a 1.5 TNGA Atkinson Cycle engine belonging to Toyota which is also used by Hyryder.

On paper, a conventional engine is capable of producing 92 Hp of power and 122 Nm of torque, while the electric motor is capable of 79 Hp of power and 141 Nm of torque, which is combined with the AWD eCVT transmission.

For fuel consumption, Maruti claims that the Suzuki Grand Vitara 2023 with a hybrid engine can travel up to 27.97 km/liter.

Apart from that, Maruti also offers the Grand Vitara 2023 with the K15C hybrid engine used by Ertiga in India. For the resulting performance, with this engine the Grand Vitara is capable of producing 103 hp and 117 Nm of torque.

Specifically for this machine, the Grand Vitara 2023 is offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters with All-Grip AWD technology. The 2WD manual transmission variant according to tests that have been carried out by this car can reach a distance of 21.11 km/liter, while the All-Grip AWD automatic transmission can reach a distance of up to 19.38 km/liter.
