PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) launched the New Carry Pick Up which comes with a new look. The launch of Suzuki's flagship commercial vehicle was held on Thursday (21/01) through Suzuki Indonesia's official Youtube channel at 10.00 WIB. New Carry Pick Up now comes with 2 new developments which are expected to further meet the needs of consumers in the commercial vehicle segment.
According to Hideaki Tokuda, Managing Director of 4W Sales & Marketing at PT SIS, the product refresh at the beginning of this year is Suzuki's commitment to continue to provide consumers with a variety of choices. "We will continue to launch products, both new and refreshed, so that they can always be in accordance with consumer needs, including the launch of the new look of the New Carry Pick Up. We believe this refresher will make the New Carry Pick Up stronger, tougher, and safer," he said.
The new look of the New Carry Pick Up can be seen from the changes in the front grille and bumper designs which have now adopted the shape of an ax which we call the Hatched Axe. The application of the sharp hatched ax design line strengthens the character of the New Carry Pick Up as a commercial vehicle that is sturdy and tough to use in various terrains.
In addition to changes to the exterior, to support the safety factor, the New Carry Pick Up which is being marketed starting January 2021 is equipped with a Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) which is located under the glove box. The fire extinguisher used is a dry chemical powder type and is SNI certified so that it is effective in extinguishing fires without causing an impact on the surrounding electrical system. Procurement of APAR in the New Carry Pick Up – and all other Suzuki-produced cars – is also Suzuki's effort to support government regulation in the automotive industry.
The refresh on the New Carry Pick Up further improves the quality of the car, dubbed the King of Pick Up. Changes in the design of the front grille and bumper as well as the presence of the APAR enhance the existing list of excellent features such as a wide body dimension, a spacious cabin, the latest technology, to the use of the efficient and powerful K15B-C engine.
The New Carry Pick Up tub measures 2,505 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width and 425 mm in height so that it can carry a load of 1 tonne. To keep the load safe during the trip, customers can take advantage of the hooks around the tub to fasten the goods. There are 12 hooks on the FD (Flat Deck) type and 22 on the WD (Wide Deck) type. In addition, there is a 1 Din Head Unit, Split Seat with thick seats, as well as 6 storage areas (including a bottle holder and a pocket behind the seat) in the AC variant and 10 places (including a bottle holder and a pocket behind the seat) in the non-standard variant. -Air conditioning which makes the cabin space more comfortable and spacious for three people. New Carry Pick Up also features Immobilizer, Air Conditioner, Electric Power Steering (EPS), and Sliding Seat.
