In terms of safety, the Honda WR-V is equipped with Honda SENSING's advanced safety technology. This technology has previously been embedded in Honda cars such as the New Honda Accord, New Honda CR-V, All New Honda Civic RS, All New Honda HR-V, All New Honda BR-V and Honda City Hatchback RS.
Honda SENSING is a series of safety technologies that provide comprehensive protection for drivers and passengers by providing warnings to automatically take action to reduce the risk of accidents. Honda SENSING technology on the Honda WR-V includes:
- Collision Mitigation Brake SystemTM, is a system that helps when there is a possibility of a vehicle colliding with another vehicle or pedestrians detected in front. CMBSTM is designed to signal or warn when a potential collision may occur, and helps reduce vehicle speed to reduce the impact of an unavoidable collision.\
- Auto-High Beam (first in its class), this system intuitively uses headlights when lighting is minimal and there are no vehicles in front or in the opposite direction and switches to normal lights depending on road conditions.
- Lane Keeping Assist System (first in its class), assists the steering wheel to keep the vehicle in the detected lane and provides vibration and visuals if the vehicle is detected to be out of lane.
- Lead Car Departure Notification System (LCDN), a system that serves to inform the driver when the vehicle stops and the vehicle in front starts to move away.
- Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), serves to provide a warning and, if necessary, make automatic corrections to the steering wheel if the driver leaves the lane to return to the correct lane.
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), helps maintain a stable vehicle speed and adjusts the distance behind the vehicle detected in front, helps reduce speed and stop the vehicle without having to press the brakes or the gas when the detected vehicle stops.
