Daihatsu Xenia ASA has actually become a variant of the Daihatsu Xenia in Indonesia. Even so with the Daihatsu Rocky which was given the Advance Safety Assist (ASA) feature.
But apparently Daihatsu is still preparing a number of surprises in the form of new products at the end of this year. This surprise is in the form of new variants of Xenia and Rocky with the addition of ASA features. Loh, what's the difference?
This variant will be named Daihatsu Xenia 1.5 R CVT ASA+ and Daihatsu Rocky 1.0 R CVT ASA+. As the name implies, these two latest variants use the highest type base, namely Xenia type R 1.5 CVT and Rocky type R 1.0 Turbo CVT.
The ASA+ appendage is an additional marker of extra features from the ASA variants embedded in Xenia and Rocky. Based on Daihatsu's internal information obtained, these additional features include side and curtain airbags, blind spot monitors, and rear cross traffic alerts.
These new features complement the safety features in the ASA, such as Pre-Collision Warning, Pre-Collision Braking, Pedal Misoperation Control, Front Departure Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Departure Prevention.
The addition of these features also makes the Xenia ASA + and Rocky ASA + equal to their twin brothers, the Toyota Avanza 1.5 G CVT TSS and Raize 1.0 CVT TSS. Because both of them first had six airbags, blind spot monitors, and rear cross traffic alerts.
In addition to features, there are different Xenia ASA+ and Rocky ASA+ with other types. Among other things, this variant only provides one color option, namely Compagne Red, which is part of the Special Color.
Please note, this variant can only be ordered with a spot order system. That is, consumers who want to get this variant have to wait a little longer than other variants.
Daihatsu will open orders for the ASA+ variant starting December 1, 2022, while delivery to consumers will be the fastest in January 2023.
Regarding the price, it is predicted that the ASA+ variant will be Rp. 11 million more expensive than the ASA Special Color. For info, the current price of the Daihatsu Xenia 1.5 R CVT ASA SC (Special Color) is IDR 274.1 million, then the Rocky 1.0 R CVT ASA SC is IDR 271.6 million, and the two tone option is IDR 273.6 million.
If it is added with a price increase of Rp. 11 million, it is predicted that the price of the Daihatsu Xenia ASA+ is Rp. 284 million and Rp. 282 million - Rp. 284 million for the Rocky ASA+.
