Honda managed to lead the Oracle Red Bull Racing team to the Formula 1 world title in the 2022 constructors category after driver Max Verstappen won the United States Grand Prix F1 racing series.
The Formula 1 Grand Prix car race was held at the Circuit of The Americas (COTAS), Austin, Texas, last Sunday, October 23, 2022.
Quoting Honda's release today, Monday, October 24, 2022, Oracle Red Bull Racing's achievement made Honda won the double championship title in F1 racing for the first time since 1991 with the McLaren team.
Previously, Max Verstappen also won the Japanese F1 Grand Prix race on October 9, 2022. This doubles world title win for the first time since 2013.
This year the Red Bull Team powered by Honda won 15 victories from the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, Miami Grand Prix, Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Spanish Grand Prix, Monaco Grand Prix, Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Canadian Grand Prix, French Grand Prix, Hungarian Grand Prix, Belgian Grand Prix, Dutch Grand Prix, Italian Grand Prix, Singapore Grand Prix, Japanese Grand Prix, to the United States Grand Prix.
Honda Motor Co. also announced that it would strengthen its partnership with the Red Bull Group in Formula 1 motorsport.
Honda added its logo to the bodies of the Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri race cars. The Japanese giant will continue to establish technical cooperation with the Red Bull Group as a race car provider for Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri until 2025.
