Xiaomi adds to the Xiaomi 12 series line in Indonesia by launching the Xiaomi 12 Lite at the end of last July with a price tag of IDR 5.8 million. The naming "Lite" on this smartphone shows that the Xiaomi 12 Lite carries specifications that are "lighter" or lower than the other Xiaomi 12, namely the Xiaomi 12 "regular" and the Xiaomi 12 Pro.

The design looks bulky but light
Unlike its two "brothers", the Xiaomi 12 Lite carries a flat or flat edge design, not rounded. This makes the Xiaomi 12 Lite body look quite thick at first glance when viewed from the side. However, on paper the Xiaomi 12 Lite body is actually thinner than the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro.
The dimensions of the Xiaomi 12 Lite itself are 159.3 mm long, 73.7 mm wide, and 7.29 mm thick. Besides being thinner, this smartphone is also light at 173 grams, so it doesn't feel so heavy when operated for a long time.
For comparison, the Xiaomi 12 has dimensions of 152.70 x 69.9 with a thickness of 8.16 mm and a weight of 180 grams. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 12 Pro has dimensions of 163.6 x 74.6 with a thickness of 8.16 mm and a weight of 205 grams. Xiaomi 12 Lite has a body with a matte finish, so it's not easy to catch finger prints.
In addition, the rear body can display a shimmer effect when exposed to light. The cross-sectional texture is somewhat rough, so it is quite safe to use without a casing. However, Xiaomi still provides a casing in the Xiaomi 12 Lite purchase package.
The camera module itself looks thick and prominent, even with a soft case. In addition to the three cameras, the module also houses an LED flash to assist shooting in low light. The Xiaomi 12 Lite has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2,400 x 1,080) resolution. The screen of this phone has a hole or punch-hole as a place for the 32 MP front camera. The screen bezel itself is quite thin, both on the right, left, top and bottom sides of the screen.
With a combination of thin bezels and a camera hole, the Xiaomi 12 Lite screen looks spacious in displaying a variety of content. Moreover, this smartphone screen is also supported with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz. So, apart from being spacious, the touch screen operating experience of this phone feels smooth without any problems. Another physical component available on the Xiaomi 12 Lite is the power and volume buttons which are arranged side by side on the right side of the phone.
At the bottom of the phone, there is a SIM card slot that supports dual nano SIM, a microphone, a USB type-C port, and a speaker. This Xiaomi phone also provides an additional speaker on the top area of the device, in line with an additional microphone and notification LED light.
