The automotive industry has started to switch to using environmentally friendly energy, this time Jeep introduced an environmentally friendly electric car, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The electric off-road car will begin to be marketed in Europe, China and the United States.
The Wrangler 4xe has a plug-in hybrid powertrain that can reach up to 25 miles (approximately 40 km) on electric-only, zero-emissions, and nearly silent drive. This vehicle is claimed to be suitable for everyday use in the city.
Jeep will offer electrification options in each of its product lines over the next few years as it strives to be a leader in premium eco-friendly technologies, particularly in 4x4 all-wheel drive capable vehicles.

The electrification of the Jeep lineup will allow passengers to travel on electric power alone, providing an efficient and enjoyable on-road experience and offering the ability to enjoy more of Jeep's off-road capabilities in near total silence," said Christian Meunier, global president of the Jeep brand.
The Wrangler 4xe is equipped with two electric motors, a high-voltage battery pack, a 2.0-liter high-tech turbocharged I-4 engine and a powerful eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. With engine start-stop operation makes it more economical.
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe powertrain integrates two electric motors and a 400-volt lithium-ion battery pack with a fuel-efficient four-cylinder engine, a turbo and a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission. The Wrangler 4xe produces a maximum power of 375 horsepower (280 kW) and 470 lb.-ft of torque.
