Lamborghini Countach Reborn as a Monster Hybrid V12

The poster on the walls of the boys' room, identical to the Lamborghini Countach. The exoticism of Bertone's work really piqued the desires of men from young to old, when it first appeared in 1974.

Introducing the "Italian Wedge" engraving that Lambo has always echoed to this day. But the Countach can't be owned by everyone. All that elegance comes at a price. So that it always ends up stuck on a sheet of paper to satisfy the eye.

His career ended in 1990 and never again heard the name Countach in the list of products 'Bull Raging.' At first it must have thought it was just a one-moment model that was not planned for its successor.

Until the manufacturer based in Sant'Agata Bolognese echoed again. It's hard to believe. Maybe it's just a nostalgic concept or a moment to reminisce about the past. But this is a reality.

After 30 years have passed, the supercar pioneer is reborn. Officially introduced as the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 and will be produced. But remember, the number is very limited. Later only 112 units will be made and use the base of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.

In fact, it remains closely related to the Aventador. The difference is, taking the hybrid powertrain from the Sián, as well as a technology pilot that will be carried forward for the future. Luckily, the V12's iconic configuration persists. Combined with an electric motor in arranging explosive power.

Reviving the Countach without a V12, must be bittersweet. Luckily there is a unit that will save the future of Lambo. The 6.5-liter capacity in natural conditions alone produces 769 hp. The output is then boosted by a 34 hp electric motor powered by a 48 volt supercapacitor.

If all of this is put together, 803 hp is created which is channeled by a 7-speed gearbox to all wheels (AWD). The sprint claim to 60 mph (96 kph) only takes 2.8 seconds. Speeding continues to 124 mph (200 kph) through 8.6 seconds and stuck at 221 mph (355 kph). Definitely the fastest Countach of all time.

When you see the full form for the first time, the shock effect is not too big. Yes, of course the detail elements of the Countach are obvious. The Countach LP400 is the most inspiring version of this reboot. Success in creating the impression of a 70s supercar and modernizing it.

Try noticing the flat expression even without the pop-up lights. Looking at the side body, the arrow shape is still clearly imprinted with a massive intake and forms a thick butt. Then the wheel arch is angled exactly like the classic Countach. Most importantly of course, the scissor door!

Not only the characteristics of the Countach LP400. If you pay attention to the fin behind the side mirror, it is taken from the Countach prototype. The rear vents again follow that of the LP500 S. The striped rims, 20 inches in front and 21 inches at the back, adopt the old-school dial-in style that once appeared on the LP400 S.

Then the face of the LP5000 S Quattrovalvole cheats even without the V-wings which also makes the Countach really cool. admired. Likewise, without the ventilation grille in the style of a Ferrari Testarossa, as has been used in the 25 year edition of the Countach.

But the outline of the Aventador design is still felt. It was as if he had only partially replaced the skin according to the Countach's legendary element. To be precise, it was like stirring the Aventador, Sián and the old Countach into one. The outside portion takes a lot from the Aventador plus replaces the Countach details.

The interior still couldn't get rid of the Sián element. The interior design blatantly takes almost everything. Exceptions in the steering wheel and seats are taken from the Aventador, the rest from the Sián. Such as the dashboard, center console and door panels.

To distinguish it as the Countach, Lambo designers added air conditioning vents and leather lining in the center aisle. The dominance of red and black also takes on the characteristics of the Countach LP 400 S.

But buyers still have the freedom to choose a range of exterior and interior colors as a customization service. You can choose the color of the carpet, ceiling and stitches.

There is no nominal price out of the Lamborghini release. Rumors can exceed one million dollars (Rp. 14 billion). Apart from that, the Aventador monocoque construction is still a mainstay. Very likely to be the last model to wear it while waiting for the next generation to be born.

No problem, the name Countach still deserves to be carried and entered the list of supercar maniac collections.
