The Honda Mobilio is one of the models that lacks enthusiasts. It was recorded that during April 2022 PT Honda Prospect Motor only managed to sell 304 units, far below the Brio with a total of 4,914 units, HR-V 1,892 units, BR-V 1,811 units, CR-V 775 units and City Hatchback RS with 435 units.
For the variant, HPM is now only selling one model, namely the Mobilio S MT, which is traded at IDR 229.9 million OTR Jakarta.
"For 7 passenger vehicles, we focus on the Low SUV segment because the trend is increasing," said Yusak Billy, as Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor at the Honda Brio Virtual Modification Press Conference.
He also added, only selling the S variant because it is more desirable than the previous variants, both E and RS.
"Why is S manual for Mobilio, now consumers want S manual because there are many requests from fleet consumers for company operations, rental and taxi fleets," he said.
Billy also said that the Mobilio S is also not empty of enthusiasts outside Java, which incidentally is also used as a taxi or rental car in the region.
Added Honda Mobilio Variant, Brio Production Figures Could Decrease
Basically the Honda Mobilio is built using the exact same platform and structure as the Brio.
“We have a production site that has been divided and arranged. If the Mobilio variant is added again, it can actually reduce Brio production, which is the biggest contributor to HPM sales every month," he added.
For information, the Honda Mobilio S MT looks simple without any fog lamps, body kits, halogen bulbs, and door handles that are not painted body color. Even so, for the lowest variant of the Mobilio, there is an option for 15-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone plan.
Regarding its features, Mobilio S gets New 2DIN Audio with Bluetooth & Hands Free Telephone, digital AC settings with double blower, ECO Indicator, MID screen, One Touch Tumble 2nd Row Seat, and Heat Rejecting Green Tinted Glass. You need to know, the lowest type of Mobilio has an all-black cabin feel.
In terms of driving safety, the Mobilio S has embedded the G-CON + ACE frame to reduce collisions in the event of an accident, as well as dual SRS airbags for more complete protection. Oh yes, the braking system is also supported by ABS + EBD.
On the other hand, you will also find Seatbelt Reminder for the driver and front passenger, Pretensioner with Load Limiter Seatbelt, Isofix & Tether, Parking Sensor and Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) for the lowest variant.
