The Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid comes with a hybrid engine technology that is powered by a Lithium-ion battery. When performing vehicle maintenance, the owner also needs to take special care of the electric car battery in this car.
The electric car battery in the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid has two functions, namely to help engine performance through the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and to store and supply energy for devices using electronic features.
According to Asst. to Service Dept. Head of Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) Hariadi, this battery needs to be treated and checked so that its condition is not damaged quickly. The maintenance is also called easy to do and coincides with the maintenance of the battery and other components through regular service.
"Suzuki official workshops will check along with the routine vehicle service period. We urge consumers to follow the maintenance recommendations as contained in the vehicle maintenance manual," Hariadi said in his official statement.
Here are tips for maintaining a Lithium-ion electric car battery on the Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid:
- Make sure the remaining battery capacity is always in sufficient or full condition. To find out, just look at the battery indicator on the MID (Multi Information Display).
- Follow the recommendations in accordance with the vehicle maintenance manual from Suzuki Indonesia
- Avoid modifications to electrical components
- It is forbidden to remove the Lithium-ion battery by yourself without an authorized Suzuki mechanic
- Avoid breaking through the flood
- Avoid temperatures below minus 20 degrees Celsius and above 140 degrees Celsius
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not wash the battery with any liquid
- Returning waste Lithium-ion batteries to an authorized Suzuki repair
