Car manufacturers continue to pamper consumers by presenting a variety of innovations in the latest units. Embedding technology is now a complement to add quality, comfort, safety to the car.
Honda Sensing is one of the advanced technologies used to make it easier for drivers to drive.
Yusak Billy, Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) said that Honda Sensing cannot be said to be an autopilot system.
"The Honda Sensing system is not an autopilot system because it still requires control and the role of the driver," said Billy
Although almost similar, but this feature is not an autopilot system like what Tesla is currently echoing. Billy explained that Honda Sensing is a technology designed for safe driving when using Honda cars.
This system works as a driver support to drive safely. The way Honda Sensing works is by using a sensor system that detects the environment around the car.
This technology also uses a computerized system to provide notifications, corrections and even take actions automatically to prevent collisions.
According to Billy, although Honda Sensing is not fully autopilot, this system is very useful to help drivers, including novice drivers, to drive safer.
"Honda cars that have been equipped with Honda Sensing at this time are the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda City Hatchback, Honda HR-V and Honda BR-V," said Billy.
